The Nexus Australian Youth Summit is pleased to announce the first of the 2014 Salon series, to be held in Melbourne on Thursday 22 May.
Nexus Salons will provide opportunities for past, present and future Nexus alumni to connect and collaborate in an intimate setting. The Salons will continue the journey of the Nexus movement and provide new insights from Australia and overseas around revolutionising 21st century philanthropy in Australia.
Please join us at the first 2014 Nexus Salon for an evening of thought-provoking conversations and ideas in an interactive discussion with an expert panel hosted at the Myer family’s historic Cranlana Estate.
You are also invited to bring a guest and introduce them to the growing Nexus movement.
Changing It Up: Next Gen Philanthropy Their Way
Join our high calibre panel of leaders in next gen philanthropy, impact investing and social enterprise and take part in an interactive discussion on how the next generation are revolutionising 21st century philanthropy to address current and future social priorities.
Hosted by Jan Owen AM, the panel will include:
- Dr Rebecca Trobe, adviser and consultant on multi-generation philanthropy and wealth succession planning with an emphasis on stewardship, legacy planning and generational transitions.
- Bessi Graham, Co-Founder and CEO of The Difference Incubator, which aims to demonstrate a sustainable and scalable model for developing Investable Social Enterprises.
- Rebecca Scott, Co-Founder and CEO of STREAT, a social enterprise that provides homeless youth with life-skills, work experience and training they require to start a career in the hospitality industry.
Shelmerdine Wines and light canapés will be served.
